Another First!

The first this time, was my first ever entry into my brand new and fabuloius Smash Book. The pages were about my first Red Arrows encounter of 2012. The amazing Reds took off from my local airport on their way to the Jubilee Flypast.
pps by Portobello Road , Docrafts - these are amazing for Royal and Olympic style pages.

My First Digi Layout

This is my May journal prompt for Crafty Magpies. It stated use five gems. I seem to have covered 2 of them with the bow, but you will have to excuse me as this is my first attempt at Digi scrapping, and I'm going to need more guidance from my friends over on the Blue Brads thread, I think!

Crafty Magpies May Sketch Challenge

Thank you Debbie for a great sketch. Again, I chose my older stash, which seemed perfect for this page about mt chickens. I have had them for a whole year at the end of this month, and already I've forgotten what it was like before they arrived.

Papermaze prize!

I never win anything so I was amazed today and thrilled that I won the recent Easter Egg Hunt on Papermaze blog. My prize is so fabulous, I can't wait to use it!

Crafty Magpies Fun Night Sketch

Thank you Karen for a great sketch. Used a mixture of pp that I got for Christmas. Dug out some very old Prima flowers in my quest to use up my old stuff too. Hand cut swirl from woodgrain fabric.

Thanks to team mate Patty for a lovely sketch for February. Really enjoyed the challenge.
I made the background by making a circle stencil and inking through the circles, added in some matching papers and embellishments.

UKS Jan Wk 4 challenge

I sometimes try to do these challenges as they make me do stuff I wouldn't normally do - mostly use something other than my usual kraft card for a background!
Used lovely Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe for background and a few other smaller scraps for the frame.

Blog Challenge

Had a mini scrap session today and this first LO is for the SJ Papercrafts challenge. I love the idea of making a frame with the Bakers twine, and have seen a few LO using this method. So here's my own version....Continuing with my theme of using up some of my older stash, I have used some an old AC chipboard bird and some Indie Girl paper, and then some lovely Kraft funday bits.
